Enhanced Constraint Handling for Reliability-Constrained Multiobjective Testing Resource Allocation

چکیده

The multiobjective testing resource allocation problem (MOTRAP) is how to efficiently allocate the finite time various modules, with aim of optimizing system reliability, cost, and simultaneously. To deal this problem, a common approach use evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs) seek set tradeoff solutions between three objectives. However, such may contain substantial proportion very low reliability level, which consume lots computational resources but be valueless software project manager. In article, MOTRAP model prespecified first proposed. Then, new lower bounds on invested in different modules are theoretically deduced from necessary condition for achievement given based an exact algorithm determining presented. Moreover, several enhanced constraint-handling techniques (ECHTs) derived successively developed combined MOEAs correct reduce constraint violation. Finally, proposed ECHTs evaluated comparison state-of-the-art constraint-solving approaches. comparative results demonstrate that can work well MOEAs, make search focus feasible region provide manager better more diverse, satisfactory choices test planning.

Constrained Renewable Resource Allocation in Fuzzy Metagraphs via Min-Slack

This paper discusses that the fuzzy metagraphs can be used as a tool for scheduling and control of fuzzy projects. Often, available resources for executing projects may be limited. It is assumed the resources required to accomplish each activity of project (metagraph edges) is renewable. One of the common methods for scheduling projects is using the min-slack. So, first, the forward and bac...

Stochastic Resource Allocation for Energy-Constrained Systems

Battery-powered wireless systems running media applications have tight constraints on energy, CPU, and network capacity, and therefore require the careful allocation of these limited resources to maximize the system’s performance while avoiding resource overruns. Usually, resource-allocation problems are solved using standard knapsack-solving techniques. However, when allocating conservable res...

Constraint Programming for Hierarchical Resource Allocation

Resource allocation in a feasible or even cost-effective manner is a prominent task appearing in various domains such as energy management, grid computing, distributed heat management or the like. The mere size of future systems calls for mechanisms and algorithms that are able to address uncertainty and scalability – two issues that Organic Computing traditionally focuses on. In particular, se...

Constrained Fault-Tolerant Resource Allocation

We follow [18,25] and give a series of improved results for the Constrained Fault-Tolerant Resource Allocation (FTRA) problem. In FTRA, we are given a set of sites containing facilities as resources, and a set of clients consuming these resources. Specifically, each site i is allowed to open at most Ri facilities with cost fi for each opened facility. Each client j requires an allocation of rj ...
